Yobe Distributes, Beds, Mattresses and Assorted Textbooks to schools.

Yobe State Government has flagged-off the distribution of 4,800 double decker beds, 4,200 mattresses and 17,500 assorted textbooks to basic schools across the state.
The Honourable Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr Muhammad Sani Idriss, during the flagged-off of the distribution in Government Girls College (GGC), Damaturu said, its part of continuous efforts by the Buni administration in providing conducive learning environments and ensuring quality education for the students in Yobe public schools.
According to him, governor Buni is keen on addressing the challenges of inadequate furniture and infrastructure which has had a negative impact on the education of students in schools, making it difficult for them to concentrate and stay focused during class sessions.
“The provision of beds and mattresses will help to address this issue as it will provide students with a comfortable and conducive environment for learning, which in turn will improve their academic output and overall performance.
“The textbooks is equally important as it will help to improve students’ access to quality education.
He also said this intervention will enable students in the Yobe Secondary schools to have access to a wide range of textbooks, which will be beneficial in enhancing their knowledge across different subjects and topics.
