Work for APC or exit the party , party Chairman tells aggrieved members in Nasarawa **** to constitute reconciliation committee soon

THE Ruling All Progressives Congress APC in Nasarawa State has warned aggrieved members in the state to work for the progress and advancement of the party or take their exit.
This is even as the party has said it will soon constitute a reconciliatory committee to address issues affecting the party in the state.
Chairman of the party in the state, Dr John mamman handed down the warning Wednesday when the member elect for Akwanga- North state constituency, Hon.
Dr Mamman explained that there were aggrieved members of the APC who engaged and are still engaging in anti- party activities in the state
The Chairman however said that the party was working assiduously to reconcile some of the aggrieved members willing to return to the party for the interest of peace and progress of the party in the state.
“The party will continue to promote justice , equity and obey the rule of law in accordance with the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
“We have a duty to uphold justice , equity and to obey the rule of law. Our stand as a party in Nasarawa is not to interfer with the choice of the people, therefore during the primaries, allowed the people’s decision to prevail.
“During litigations, we obeyed the court rulings and presented flags to authentic candidates of the party. In the case of Akwanga North too, we have followed the rulings of the various courts of law.
“Now, the Supreme Court has finally decided and declared Larry Ven- Bawa as the authentic member-elect for the Constituency.
Also speaking, the leader of the party in Akwanga Local Government Area who is the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Kwanta Yakubu lauded the party for adhering to the rule of law, exhibiting high sense of leadership .
“I want to assure our party APC of total commitment. We will continue to be loyal and committed to the party,” Kwanta declared
At the presentation of the certificate of return, the member elect, Ven- Bawa thanked God for ensuring his victory and also appreciated the party as well as his supporters for standing by him during the period of litigation.
He promised to work together with the party and the state government to ensure development in the state.
It would be recalled that there have been controversy arising from the outcome of the party primary between the member elect and the deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Nehemiah Dandaura which culminated in legal tussles from appeal to the Supreme Court.
The appeal court sitting in Makurdi had earlier declared Hon. Dandaura as the authentic member elect for the constituency, but was upturned by the supreme court in its judgement, rendering the certificate of return issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) to Hon Dandaura invalid
Following the supreme court verdict, INEC in respecting the apex court judgement issued another certificate of return to the member elect, Ven- Bawa, as the authentic member-elect of Akwanga-North constituency, awaiting to be inaugurated.
