We ‘re proud of your outstanding representation – PDP Chair tells its Lawmakers

Nasarawa state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed satisfaction with the outstanding performance of its members in the state House of Assembly, saying that they are really flying the party’s flag in lawmaking.

State Chairman of the opposition PDP, Hon. Francis Orogu made the commendation during a courtesy visit by the party stakeholders from Keffi and Lafia LGAs at his residence in Lafia,

Orogu said the performance of the 7th PDP members in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly was exceptional adding that the activities of the party representatives was a clear manifestation of what PDP stand for in the nation politics.

He said PDP Assembly members political acumen, project execution, human development initiatives, youth and women empowerment, and active legislative participation was a display of true legislative participation.

“This commendation is coming at the heels of their completion of first year in office. During this period, PDP members have made significant contributions in their respective constituencies, including provision of potable water, building bridges,
Construction of culverts, distribution of motorcycles, palliative and scholarship schemes”, Orogu stated..

While urging the members to maintain and improve their commendable efforts, particularly in public relations, emphasizing that they are the pillars of the party, the party Chairman called on stakeholders to support the assembly members to achieve their goals and continue to make the party proud.

Hon Orogu who noted that the party increased its assembly seats from seven in 2019 to nine in 2023, securing key positions such as Deputy Speaker, Deputy Majority Leader, and Minority Leader in the 7th Assembly, highlighted the PDP’s strong position as the leading opposition party in the country and in Nasarawa State.
