Late Muhammed Ibrahim Idris represented, Omala Ankpa and Olamaboro federal constituency in the 7th national Assembly.

A statement by the National Coordinator of the Ugane club, Dr James Odaudu describes the late lawmaker as gentle, quiet and easy going adding that he was loved by all who came in contact with him.

The club condoles with his father, former Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, other members of his family and prayers that the Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest.

The statement reads:

“We, the entire members of Ugane Club have received, with great shock, news of the sudden transition of our brother, your beloved son, Honourable Mohammed Ibrahim Idris on the day the world was celebrating the end of the 2024 Ramadan fast”

“The shock is more on us for the fact that we had made plans to formalise his membership of the Club after the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations”

“The demise of our brother Hon.

Mohammed Ibrahim Idris at this time is a great blow to us in Omala and Kogi state in general, most particularly coming shortly after burying our children, brothers and sisters gruesomely murdered by some blood-thirsty marauders in Agojeju-odo”

“Though always on the quiet side, Mohammed’s friendly and brotherly disposition, and his love for Omala was never lost on us, given his excitement each time he met anyone from Omala. He will be sorely missed

As we mourn yet, the passing on of one of us, we implore those of us yet alive to conscientize ourselves on the vain nature of this life we live and devote more time and resources to the service of our homeland.
We pray that God Almighty grants his soul and the souls of our faithful departed brothers and sisters, eternal rest.

To Your Excellency, Alh. Ibrahim Idris, his immediate family, and the entire Igala land, may He give the fortitude to bear this great and irreparable loss.
For, and on behalf of Ugane Club “
