Uba Sani Retains El-rufai’s Aides, Makes Fresh Appointments

The Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, has retained the appoitment of the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal.

In a statement made available to newmen in Kaduna on Tuesday evening which was signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mohammed Lawal Shehu stated that the SSG was retained due to his vast experience in governance, and to also assist in the smooth take-off of the administration.

The Governor also retained the services of other senior members of the Nasir El-Rufai’s administration to provide the link between the two administrations, this, as explained in the statement.

According to the statement, Muhammad Hafiz Bayero who was part of El-rufai’s administration will now serve as Senior Advisor Counsellor to the Governor.

Meanwhile, Barrister James Atung Kanyip and Chris Umar have been appointed as Deputy Chiefs of Staff to the Governor, while Dr. Shehu Usman Muhammad and Bulus Banquo Audu were appointed as Counsellors to the Governor.

“The Governor has also approved the appointment of a new Chief of Staff in the person of Sani Liman, while Habiba Anana Shekarau is to serve as the new Head of Service,” the statement reads.
