UAE National Day: Deputy President of the Senate seeks stronger diplomatic ties

As the United Arab Emirates (UAE) celebrates its 52nd National Day, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin has hailed the country for achieving rapid business and tourism transformation, seeking stronger diplomatic ties with the country.

Speaking during the celebration of the 52nd National Day of the country organized by its Nigerian Embassy in Abuja on Monday, Senator Barau said the UAE has contributed immensely to the growth of the world economy.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, the Deputy President of the Senate reiterated the commitment of the present administration to fast-track the development of the country.

He stressed the need for the two countries to strengthen bilateral relations.

“Let me begin by congratulating His Excellency the ambassador of the UAE and the entire people of the country for the remarkable celebration of 52nd National Day. I admire the UAE for the wonderful achievements it has recorded to become one of the most popular destinations for business and tourism in the world.

“I admire the vision of that country for its resilience and their focus in turning around the fortunes of that country to become one of the best in tourism. As such, we will also want our country Nigeria to be a wonderful country that can attract people from all over the world to come for business and tourism opportunities.

“We have been having a very good relationship with UAE. We have very much in common in terms of endowment and I hope that we continue with the cordial relationship for the benefit of the two countries,” he said.
