Tinubu replaces El – Rufai with Balarabe Lawal as Ministerial Nominee

President Bola Tinubu has replaced ministerial nomination of Mallam Nasir El- Rufai from Kaduna State with Balarabe Abbas Lawal .

Nomination of Balarabe Lawal as nominee from Kaduna State by President Tinubu , was made known in a communication forwarded to that effect and read in plenary by President of the Senate , Godswill Akpabio in Abuja.

President Tinubu in the communication , also formally requested the Senate to confirm nomination of Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim from Kwara State and Mr Ayodele Olawande from Ondo State as Minister .

The Senate had in August after screening of the first 48 ministerial nominees forwarded to it in July by President Tinubu , confirmed 45 and withheld confirmation of three .

Aside El- Rufai , the two other nominees rejected then , were Ms Stella Okotete from Delta State and Abubakar Danladi from Taraba State .
