The Needed Long overdue Knock!

This video has been trending, expected though, afterall, wrong churlish things get utsnamic tractions more than virtuous deeds.

For those who have not watched this clip, summarily, it was about a priest who gave a mass servant a resounding knock for not appropriately positioning the microphone during a marriage ceremony.

Many though, rightly condemned the harsh and inhuman action of the priest, branding him wicked, temperamental etc.

However, I see beyond what the eyes could perceive in the whole drama.

I see a clarion call for us to be alive and active, being proactive insuring that things work and those placed within the space of responsibility are adequately monitored, guided and the commensurate punishment meted out to avoid a close down of systems.

If only we would continue to give deliberate and corrective knocks to our leaders in all spheres ,who out of carelessness, impunity, corruption, etc try to make a caricature of the system and possibly close it.

If only we could be courageous enough to give timely and corrective knocks on the stubborn, recalcitrant and immodest heads of our children.

If only we could be brave enough to give decent knocks on the heads of our religious leaders who out of greed have turned the pulpit and the gospel into products for the highest bidders.

In life there are certain knocks that cannot wait, from the place of subconscious , through the power of instincts, the knock is released no matter whose ox is gored. Many who would have become vagrants were saved from such by such knocks.

It takes that kind of knock to permanently reset a derailing brain into a perpetual alignment.

What many are condemning that Rev. Fr for could be a resetting knocking for the boy, resetting him into a destiny most profound.

Every cloud has a silver lining. Beside, seeing things from a rose colored spectacle ,makes life easier to live and appreciate.

Kudos Fr. for that knock. We wouldn’t know what you did for that young altar servant. Eternally in his mind he would remember that knock and the sound, a deterent for future lose guarding. There are certain alignment that wouldn’t happen except there are such knocks.

Nigerians! Learn this kind of knocknfrom this priests. The heads of our leaders need it. Long over due if you ask me!!
