The Best State!

Published

on

There are 36 States in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory .

Before the 2023 elections, FCT was regarded as a special territory, not a state so to speak. But with the Supreme Court judgement, that special status of it was removed, cladding it with the garment of Statehood for a hatchet job purpose.

What is the best state in Nigeria? The state that gives equal consideration, provision and privileges without any symbolism of unfairness, corruption, marginalisation, indolence, laxity and mismanagement?

The best state? The state that pays the highest minimum wage as at when due? The best state? The state that tarred all the roads, built infrastructures and curbed the menace of terrorism and kidnapping?

The best state? The state that has zero unemployment rate, with the highest GDP? The best state? The state that has the most amazing and impactfull social security framework, building in her citizens the confidence, trust and intergrity that fan into flame patroticism.

The best state?

All these states are good and necessary but the best state anybody can ever imagined and wished it becomes their heritage is the State of Grace.

Find this State, invest all that you have to build a hedge around it to avoid either infiltration or losing it.

Once one is in that State, full of grace, uhuru becomes a gift on a platter for such a person.

Nigeria recently has been everything State but not one that is full of Grace.

Those at the helm of affairs in any state that is full of Grace are not rulers, but leaders. They are not transactional but transformational. They are not autocratic but democratic. They are not selfish but selfless. They are not tribal bigots but nationalists with the garment of patriotism worn around with integrity, honesty and transparency weaved around it.

How may States are in this state of Grace? How many leaders are in this State of Grace?

Until we get to this state that is full of Grace, our struggle to the promised land wouldn’t be easier and the challenges in pebble forms would continue to be our albatrose, an Archilles heel so to speak.

Let us move to the other side! The side that is full of Grace to lead, not with the intention for selfish interest but rather to be that leader that would be remembered with smiles and pleasant thoughts of positive impacts, engraved on the hall of fame ,long after they were gone.
