Hon Yakub Prays for Greater Wisdom, Strength and Health for the Former Reps’ Speaker to Continue to Assist President Tinubu to Steer the Ship of State in the Right Direction_

Hon Yakub in a statement by his special Assistant on media and publicity Nkem Anyata -Lafia describes President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff and Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives,Rt.

Hon.Femi Gbajabiamila, as a man who has engendered a new form of servant-leadership in the governance architecture of the Nigerian nation. This servant-leadership ,it was also noted, has for itself attracted trusted followership and inspired so much nationalistic instinct in many in a nation the many virtues the former leading lawmaker embodies and as well as espouses have continued to come in short supply.

Director General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps,Rt.Hon.(Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub, who noted the above earlier today in a birthday message sent to the Lagos-born leader and technocrat and made available to journalists in Abuja, also prayed Almighty Allah to bless Rt.Hon.Gbajabiamila with greater wisdom, strength and health to continue to assist President Tinubu to steer the ship of the Nigerian State in the right direction.

The rest of the message titled:” _Grand Toast to a Worthy Leader and Mentor at 62_ “, reads:
*
“I have the honour and privilege to refer to the above subject-matter and,for myself,my dear family and on behalf of the Management and staff of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, which by the grace of God and your kind support,I currently head, convey our hearty congratulations and goodwill on the occasion of your 62nd birthday anniversary.

“Indeed,Your Excellency, dear Leader and Mentor, our fondest prayers and wishes are that you find fulfillment in all areas of life and that Almighty Allah (SWA) bless you with many more years, grace you with greater wisdom, strength and health to continue to assist His Excellency,Mr President and Father of the Nation,in steering the ship of State.

“Sir,our innermost thoughts at this time are best expressed in the few lines below:

“You have for so long held out the promise of a new vision,a new ideal and a new form of servant-leadership that has for itself attracted followership and inspired many in a nation where many of the virtues you embody and espouse have continued to run thin for so many seasons…

“You have for so long continued to invest your belief, your incredible energy and most profound intellect, your undying zeal as well as your enthusiasm and the consuming passion for results(which defines your unshaken trust in a nation many see as hopeless)in the quest for the nation of our dreams…

“You have for so long burnt yourself out, spent alone hours long and worn the thinking-cap in search of how our nation can zoom past all the floundering tempests of the sea of emerging nationhood…

“You have,in all these years of selfless and vicarious pursuits, built men and monuments, spread your tentacles across tribes and tongues and given many of us shelter under the shades of your famed, sagacious leadership, multifaceted benevolence and the nationalistic fervour in which your every move is clothed….

A lawyer by profession,Rt.Hon.Femi Gbajabiamila has distinguished himself in many fields, including lawmaking. He served in the House of Representatives for an unprecedented unbroken record of twenty years during which he was both Minority and Majority Leader at different dispensations before capping the long tenure with the position of Speaker of the 9th House, where he demonstrated strong principles and values by championing various pro-citizens legislative agenda, including the very novel Parliamentary Diplomacy that saw the House delving into some of the thorny diplomatic issues and rows involving Nigerian nationals in foreign jurisdictions in those years. He is fondly remembered in legislative circles for the famed grits and vibrancy he brought to lawmaking in his time before joining the Executive as Chief of Staff to Mr President.
