The State House has dismissed the purported 114 percent increase in the salaries of the President, Vice President, elected political office holders and judicial officers.

This is contained in a statement explaining that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not approved any salary increase, adding that no such proposal has been brought before him for consideration.

The statement also wish to inform the public that Revenue Mobilization, Allocation & Fiscal Commission, RMAFC has already responded to this fake story being circulated, and that it has set the record straight.

The Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, Mr.

Dele Alake, who signed the statement expresses concern about the danger fake news poses to the society and national well-being.

It alleges that the misinformation was contrived to create ill-will for the new administration, slow down the upward momentum and massive goodwill the Tinubu-led Administration is currently enjoying among Nigerians as a result of its fast paced, dynamic, and progressive policies.

He advised media practitioners to ignore stories on government activities and policy issues that do not emanate from approved official communication channels should be ignored.
