Speaker: Northern Group canvasses Support for Doguwa.

As the race for the leadership of the National Assembly takes the front burner of National discourse, a Northern interest group led by Dr. Haruna Garus Gololo, the Coordinator of the North -East Coalition campaign group for Bola Tinubu and Shetima Presidential Campaign has thrown their weigh behind Honourable Alhasan Ado Doguwa for the speakership of the House of Reps.
Addressing the media on Saturday, in
Abuja, Gololo, an All Progressive Congress ( A PC ) , Chieftain from the North -East said that Hon.
” Hon. Dooguwa , has made a significant sacrifice for the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Kano state and the North West apart from his experience as ranking lawmaker , he almost lost his life while fighting for the All Progressive Congress, in Kano state”
While extolling the courage of the Doguwa , who represents Tudun wada , Doguwa Federal Constituency in the House, Gololo said ” Doguwa , would have delivered the entire Kano to the Party if not for the set up by the opposition who felt threatened and decided to flamed him up for an alleged murder”
Gololo, appeal to the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, the presidential elect Ahmed Tinubu to rally support for Doguwa, rulling out the permutations that the opposition in the House could cause upset in the House.
” We are working from within and without to ensure that we achieve the stability in the National Assembly leadership, we are not leaving any stone unturned, the opposition is not a threat” he said.
The Coordinator for Ahmed Tinubu and Shetima, in the North -East dismissed the pleasure from those promoting the aspirations of Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, from Kaduna state and Hon. Wase, the Deputy speaker of the House saying they are mere pawn in the political chess game for negotiations.
” Nobody will take Tajudeen Abbas and Wase serious except their promoters. Wase lacked the temperament to lead the House, while Tajudeen is been sponsored by Governor Nasir Elrufai, who wants remain relevant in Kaduna politics”
” We are calling on the All Progressive Congress, APC to zone the leadership of the House to Kano, while the Senate president should be zone to South south”
” The South East has not shown interest in building the party, this could be seen in Orji Uzor Kalu, who got 27000 votes while he could only mobilize only 8000 votes for Ahmed Tinubu in the presidential election, the same Kalu wants to reap from were he did not show”
