Senator Natasha, Akpabio, others attend 148th IPU Assembly in Geneva

The lawmaker representing Kogi Central senatorial district, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, alongside the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon.

Benjamin Kalu, and Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong among others are currently at the ongoing 148th assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) holding at the International Conference Centre, Geneva, Switzerland.

Senator Natasha and her colleagues are attending the IPU as delegation of the Nigerian Parliament.

The Kogi lawmaker was seen seated with the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mrs.

Rositsa Kirova.

This year’s edition is billed to hold from March 23 to March 27, 2024.

The IPU, global organisation of national parliaments, was founded in 1889, and dedicated to promoting peace through parliamentary diplomacy and dialogue. It has grown into a truly global organization with 179-member countries out of 193 countries of the world.
