Senator Kalu Distributes 30,000 Bags of Rice and Cash to Abia North Villages

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North senatorial district, demonstrated a remarkable act of philanthropy by distributing over 30,000 bags of rice and a substantial amount of cash to 13 villages in Igbere.

Supervising the allocation personally, Kalu ensured a fair distribution to guarantee that no individual or group was unfairly treated during the distribution process.

Contrary to misconceptions, these relief materials and funds were solely financed by the senator’s personal resources, dissociating them from any federal government assistance.

This gesture is part of a longstanding tradition that spans 38 years, starting as far back as 1986, reflecting Kalu’s consistent dedication to serving his people, irrespective of his political position at any given time.

Addressing the misrepresentation of the assistance as constituency projects, a representative urged individuals spreading false information to desist from such actions.

The clarification emphasized that Senator Kalu’s benevolence was not linked to official constituency projects but stemmed from his compassionate nature and personal commitment to alleviating the economic burdens faced by his constituents.

It was highlighted that Senator Kalu, also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatization, maintains a global perspective and prioritizes the welfare of humanity. His efforts have been inclusive, catering to villagers, indigenes, non-indigenes, and individuals across all age groups, fostering a positive impact on the lives of those residing in Abia North.
