Senator Hope Uzodinma Emerges winner in Imo Gubernatorial Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Senator Hope Uzodinma, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, as the winner of the Imo state gubernatorial election held on November 11th.

The returning officer, Professor Fashina Abayomi, announced that Senator Hope Uzodinma secured a resounding victory with 540,308 votes.

The opposing parties, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party, trailed behind with 71,503 votes and 64,081 votes, respectively.

Professor Abayomi, while declaring the results, stated that, “Uzodinma of the APC, having certified the provisions of the law, is hereby returned elected.
