RCCG provides free health care services for 2000 Kubwa residents
No fewer than two thousand residents of Kubwa and adjoining communities in the Federal Capital Territory have benefited from a free medical checkup organized by The Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, New Life Assembly, Abuja.
The free medical Service is part of the program lined up for the Maiden Regional Men’s Convention with the theme ‘The Total Man’
The President of the Redeemers Men Fellowship, Pastor Yinka Olatunbosun, said RCCG Region 45 decided to organize the medical program to complement government’s efforts in addressing the health challenges of the less privileged in Kubwa, FCT.
Pastor Olatunbosun, therefore, appealed to the government at all levels to urgently pay attention to the plight of Nigerians, especially in the health sector, as the current economic situation is biting hard on citizens.
He urged men not to allow the present economic situation in the country affect their responsibility as the head of the family.
The leader of the medical team, Dr. Fadare Oyebode-David, who decried the current state of the health sector, urged the federal government to focus attention on the primary health care system to enable people in rural areas to have access to quality health care delivery.
Dr Fadare Oyebode-David emphasized the need for Men to always do regular check up to ascertain their health status
The Secretary of RCCG Region 45 Redeemer’s Men Fellowship, Deacon Olajide Ayodele, said the Church would continue to carry out its social responsibility to enhance the living standards of citizens as well as promote peaceful coexistence.
Deacon Ayodele who expressed concern about the current economic situation in the country stressed the need for President Bola Tinubu to access the impact of the current administration policy on citizens and come up with programs to alleviate the suffering of the masses.
The Convention has over Three thousand delegates from all the parishes that make up Region 45.
