President elect, Checkmate rampant killings and Kidnappings- Bishop.

The Anglican Communion of Nigeria,Kutigi Diocese in Lavun Local government area of Niger state has called on the president Elect ,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to distinguish himself by checkmating the rampant killings and Kidnappings in the country.

The Bishop of Kutigi Anglican Diocese,Rt Rev. Jeremiah Ndana Kolo stated this yesterday, while delivering his address of Bishop charge at the third day of yearly Synod held at St Peter’s Anglican Church Gbangbagi.

The theme of this year’s Synod is,”the confidence of faith and submission” the Bishop said it is disheartening that Kidnappings for ransom, reckless killings and ransacking of Villages and towns particularly in Niger state have become a daily affairs with out proactive measures to checkmate the menace.

According to the Bishop it is the primary responsibilities of the government at all levels to get to the root cause of banditry, and militia groups in the country with a view to punish the perpetrators.

Bishop jeremiah also asked the government to address the increase in the fuel pump price of 300 naira which has further increased the sufferings of the masses.

The Bishop was of the opinion that the recent cashless policy was ill motivated, killer to the economy and a devastating blow to Nigerians.

Bishop jeremiah was optimistic that the president elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu have all it takes to take the country to it’s highest level to secure the lives and properties of the citizens.

In his remark at the occasion the registrar Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Barr, Abraham Ndana yisa, advised that a blue print be fashioned out to improve upon the present status of hosting the yearly synod.

He directed the delegates at the synod to deliberate exhaustively and come out with a blue print on how to source funds for the hosting of the yearly Synod instead of allowing archdeaconries in the Diocese to go through stress.

Barr, Yisa emphasised that rendering social services and evangelism to communities is part of priorities of a missionary set up and call for the immediate commencement of the building of Mokwa missionary hospital.
