President Bola Tinubu Extols Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s Statesmanship on His 66th Birthday

President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria celebrated the 66th birthday of former President Goodluck Jonathan, lauding his statesmanship and exceptional leadership qualities.
In a statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity) in Abuja, President Tinubu praised Jonathan’s pivotal role in reshaping Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
Tinubu acknowledged Jonathan’s distinctive contribution in steering Nigeria and Africa towards a new era in democratic principles, breaking the entrenched cycle of power retention by any means necessary.
Highlighting Jonathan’s journey from Deputy Governor to President and his ongoing efforts for peace in Africa, Tinubu emphasized Jonathan’s role as an inspiration for good governance.
The President commended Jonathan’s dedication to humanitarian service and fortifying democratic institutions, citing his tireless peace initiatives and advocacy for non-violence in facilitating smooth power transitions across the continent.
President Tinubu also expressed confidence that his wisdom, foresight, and patriotism will continue to guide aspiring leaders in Nigeria and beyond. He extended prayers for Jonathan and his wife, Patience, wishing them continued good health and strength.
