Nigerian music icon Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, seized a hard-fought triumph in a gripping celebrity boxing spectacle against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha.

The highly anticipated showdown, backed by Heritage Boxing Entertainment, unfolded against the picturesque backdrop of Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos State, kicking off well past 1 am on a Wednesday.

Sporting blue shorts, Portable surged ahead early on, unleashing a flurry of calculated punches aimed at Okocha, who donned a striking red top paired with matching shorts.

The bout’s momentum fluctuated in the second round as Okocha masterfully evaded Portable’s assaults and managed to momentarily topple his adversary.

Round three showcased Portable seizing strategic openings to counter Okocha’s earlier blows while adeptly evading further strikes from the seasoned actor.

As fatigue crept in during the fourth round, both celebrity pugilists exhibited signs of weariness. Nevertheless, Portable persisted, delivering precise, unexpected blows that caught Okocha off guard.

However, as the referee beckoned for the decisive Round Five, both contenders opted not to continue, leading to Portable’s proclamation as the eventual winner.

Though the match didn’t culminate in a technical knockout (TKO) or knockout (KO), Portable clinched victory as the judges acknowledged his higher volume of punches throughout the intense bout.

The boxing spectacle marked the resolution of a highly publicized feud rooted in alleged contractual discrepancies. Portable had accused Okocha of defrauding him of an alleged N40 million, igniting a fiery online altercation.

The dispute, centered on Portable’s claim of receiving a fraction of the agreed-upon sum, found its resolution within the confines of the boxing ring.
