Pa Lawrence Omotoso Ayibiowu Set for Burial
The funeral ceremony of the late Pa Lawrence Omotoso Ayibiowu, also known as Baba 1000 Naira, has been announced by the family.
A statement issued on behalf of the family by Mr. and Mrs. Gbenga Daves Omotoso indicates that on Thursday, the 1st of May, 2025, the corpse will leave Oluremi Mortuary for his residence at No. 11 Okediroko Street, Ise-Ekiti, Ekiti State, by 10:00 a.m. prompt.
According to the statement, the lying-in-state will be held the same day at his residence by 2:00 p.m., while the service of songs is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the same venue.
The statement further explains that the funeral service will take place on Friday, the 2nd of May, 2025, at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Odo’se, Ise-Ekiti, Ekiti State, by 10:00 a.m. prompt, while the interment will follow immediately at the church cemetery.
It adds that guests will be entertained at St. Mark’s Secondary School, Ise-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Aged 108 years, the late Pa Lawrence Omotoso Ayibiowu passed away on the 15th of November, 2024.
He is survived by eleven children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
