Ondo Election:INEC Kicks Off Distribution of Sensitive Materials

The Independent National Electoral Commission, has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the 18 local government areas of Ondo state ahead of this Saturday’s governorship election.

Addressing journalists and representatives of the 18 political parties at the premises of Central Bank of Nigeria Akure, the INEC resident electoral commissioner, Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola said the exercise started on time in view of the need for those on difficult terrains to arrive on time.

Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola explained that the commission was collaborating with the Nigeria Navy to enhance distribution at the riverine areas.

City post reports that Form EC8A, Results Sheets form EC8A, Form EC8D, EC8E and Replacement Forms were distributed while Electoral Officers in the 18 local government areas received the materials.

The sensitive materials were seen loaded into waiting vehicles for onward transportation with heavy security personnel.
