Northern Senators Express Deep Concern Over Rising spate of Kidnappings in March 2024

In a recent press statement, the Northern Senators Forum (NSF) has voiced serious apprehension over the escalating wave of violence and kidnappings in the northern region of Nigeria.

The release signed by its Chairman,Senator Abdulaziz Yar’adua, the NSF condemned the series of disturbing events that have unfolded primarily in Kaduna State.

The statement highlighted several alarming incidents, including the abduction of 286 students and staff from a school on March 7th, an attack on worshippers in a mosque on March 8th, and subsequent kidnappings of additional individuals on March 12th, 17th, and 18th, totaling 87 people in Kujuru alone.

Senator Yar’adua emphasized the gravity of the situation, labeling the acts as reprehensible and warranting immediate and resolute action.

The NSF asserted its unwavering commitment to seeking a sustainable solution to the menace and ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to justice and pledged to spare no effort in fulfilling its mandate for the greater good of the people and the nation at large.
