NNPP Open to Alliance with APC, Says Kano Lawmaker

Abdulmumin Jibrin, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kiru and Bebeji Federal Constituency, revealed the New Nigerian Peoples Party’s (NNPP) readiness to form alliances with various political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During a gathering of over 1,000 Islamic clerics offering prayers for the success of Kano State Governor Kabir Yusuf at the Supreme Court, Jibrin emphasized NNPP’s willingness for collaboration, alliance, or merger with the APC, PDP, LP, or any party for the betterment of Nigerians.
Jibrin pledged to leverage his political connections to engage key figures in Kano’s politics, aiming to resolve existing tensions surrounding the state’s governorship seat.
In a statement released by his media aide, Sani Paki, special prayers were extended to President Bola Tinubu and the NNPP National Leader, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso during the event. The clerics conducted recitations from the Holy Qur’an 1,101 times, praying for the nation’s peace, progress, and political stability.
Addressing attendees, Mr. Kofa highlighted his known association with Mr. Tinubu, affirming his bond.
Moreover, following the prayer session, the lawmaker extended his generosity to 5,000 primary school children in his constituency, providing them with essential school kits. Jibrin assured the students of the government’s positive initiatives, particularly focusing on free education and school feeding programs.
