By Iyojo Ameh
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Services Senator Mohammed Sani Musa has said that, Nigerians need a servant- leader who will be able to speak on their behalf in the National Assembly especially now that the nation is bedeviled with a lot of challenges threatening its existence.
Senator Sani Musa stated this while fielding questions from the National Assembly correspondents, in Abuja.
Musa, who is also eyeing the coveted seat of the President of the Senate, said he is qualified for the position but could sacrifice his ambition in the interest of unity and peaceful coexistence of Nigeria if not zoned to the North-Central and would rather seek for the position of the Deputy President of the Senate.
He said, it has become imperative to have a leader who feels the pulse of Nigerians and has the requisite experience to make laws that will benefit the citizens.
“I am ready to serve and that is why I will be contesting for a principal position in the 10th Senate.”
Senator Musa appealed to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure a balance between Nigeria’s two major religions while zoning leadership positions in the National Assembly.
