A 26-year-old Nigerian postgraduate student, Somtochukwu Okwuoha, stands on the brink of deportation and imprisonment after a jury found him guilty of issuing chilling terrorist threats directed at Dundee University in the United Kingdom.

According to reports, the International Energy Student’s conviction revolves around claims of colluding with the terrorist organization ISIS to orchestrate a bombing at the university and menacingly hinting at a potential chemical attack targeting the city.

Facing seven charges, Okwuoha has been remanded in custody while awaiting further legal proceedings.

The trial revealed Okwuoha’s explicit intentions to cause widespread harm on the Dundee University campus, with university staff receiving alarming emails containing specific terrorist threats.

In one disturbing email, Okwuoha allegedly wrote, “Expect a massive bomb explosion at the University of Dundee. I have contacted ISIS terrorists to plant bombs on campus. I can assure you staff and students will die in great numbers. 9/11 will be a joke compared to what will happen. Blood will spill and flesh will be scattered.”

Keith Mackle, a retired director of student services, testified in the Perth Sheriff Court, shedding light on the seriousness of the threats made by Okwuoha and the significant impact they had on the university staff.

The sequence of events leading to this verdict began with Okwuoha accusing accommodation officer Shane Taylor of racism. Subsequently, he ominously voiced intentions of seeking retribution by eliminating the Scottish populace.
