Nigerian Footballer Dies in Car Accident in Cyprus

The football community is mourning the loss of Nigerian striker Paul Julius, who died in a car accident just three weeks after joining Enosis Neon Paralimni FC (ENP) in Cyprus.

Julius, a promising talent, had joined the Cypriot club with hopes of making a significant impact on the local football scene.

ENP expressed profound sorrow over the untimely death of their new player.

In a heartfelt statement, the club reflected on Julius’s resilience and determination despite the adversities he faced.

“It is with deep sadness and pain that we express our sincere condolences on the unexpected loss of our footballer Paul Julius,” the statement read.

“The tragic news of his death has shocked us all. Despite the hardships and sufferings he faced to join our family, he remained steadfast and determined to fulfill his goals.

His memory will live on in our hearts, and his absence will be felt. We are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.”

The Greek football community has also extended their condolences. APOEL FC issued a statement offering their deepest sympathies to Julius’s family and the ENP community. “APOEL FOOTBALL (PODOSFAIRO) LTD expresses its deepest condolences to the family of ENP and the relatives of football player Paul Julius who was killed in a car accident this morning. He was only 20 years old. His memory is eternal,” the statement read.

AEL Limassol, another major Cypriot club, also conveyed their condolences to Julius’s family and the ENP organization.

Paul Julius’s untimely death has left a significant void in the hearts of the football world and those who knew him personally.
