Nigeria @ 64: NACHPN Felicitates With Nigerians, Seeks Massive Employment Of CHPs
The President of National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, NACHPN, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed has felicitated with Nigerians most especially President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kassim Shettima and Community Health Practitioners nationwide on the occasion of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary.
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Nigeria ‘s 64th Independence Anniversary in Abuja, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed described the continuous corporate existence of the country in the past sixty four years as worthy of celebration.
He therefore stressed the need for all Nigerians to be committed to the realization of the dreams of the nation’s founding fathers.
According to him, Nigeria has not been without its challenges but what is required is for all and sundry to also be committed to its unity and peaceful coexistence as well as national development.
Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed while acknowledging the present hardship being faced by Nigerians called for more patient as the current reforms would yield positive and beneficial results.
He expressed the hope that with the collective support of all the citizens the country would soon overcome its challenges and take its rightful place among comity of nations.
“I strongly believe that what we’re currently passing through will soon be over as all hands are on deck under President Bola Tinubu’s led administration to make sure that the renewed hope agenda is actualized in all sectors of the country thereby making Nigeria a nation to be proud of by all citizens” He emphasized.
He used the opportunity to call for massive employment of Community Health Practitioners towards addressing the shortage of manpower and enhance quality Primary Healthcare delivery in the country.
“I’m also using this opportunity to appeal to President Bola Tinubu to pay all the Health regulatory bodies their outstanding salary since the beginning of this year” He stated
Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed equally stressed the need for more funding of Primary Healthcare system to improve the wellbeing of rural dwellers and combat child and maternal mortality at the grassroots.
While emphasizing the need for Government at all levels to be more committed to the development of the nation’s health sector, the NACHPN President said a New Standing Orders has been put in place towards improving the performance of Community Health Practitioners in the country.
