The renewal of the five years tenure of the managing Director of the North East
Development Commission ( NEDC), Mohamed Goni Alkali, might become a subject of litigation,
as Dr.

Haruna Garus Gololo, an All progressive Congress ( APC), from Bauchi has threatening to drag the Vice president Kashim Shettima, to Court over his role in the renewal of the tenure .

Addressing the newsmen in Abuja on Thursday the erstwhile coordinator of the presidential Campaign for Tinubu’/ Campaign in the North East said that
” Despite my support for the vice president, Shettima Kashim, we will not allow this appointment to go unchallenged, I will approach the Court, because we have enough evidence to show that after the five year tenure of Goni, it was the turn of Bauchi and Gombe, the Son of the former governor of Gombe, Hashidu was nominated from Gombe, but the Vice president decided to use his office to retain Mohamed Goni, because he is from Borno state”

” Let Kashim beware of his actions as Vice president because we voted for Tinubu’not Kashim, who says Bauchi and Gombe Is not important in the North East? ”
” Whose interest is Kashim Shettima serving, we are aware how this Managing Director had allegedly mismanaged the Commission, since his appointment.

” We called on the president and Commander – in – Chief to reign on his Deputy before he create crisis in the North East, to this end I am giving the Federal Government seven days to change this imposition, or we meet in the Court” he warned.
