NBS REPORT REVEALS STATES WITH FOOD INFLATION
Recent data from the National Bureau of Statistics reveals that Kogi, Kwara, and Ondo are grappling with the highest food prices in Nigeria.
Kogi leads with a staggering 48.62% food inflation rate, followed closely by Kwara at 46.
Conversely, Adamawa, Bauchi, and Nasarawa are experiencing the slowest increase in food prices.
On a month-to-month basis, Lagos, Edo, and Yobe are facing the highest food prices, with Lagos topping the list at 4.74%, followed by Edo at 4.06%, and Yobe at 3.
These figures coincide with a surge in April’s headline and food inflation rates, reaching 33.69% and 40.
