Nasarawa 7th Assembly ends one year legislative, proceeds on recess

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Tuesday concluded it’s first year session and proceeds for vacation even as the house passed number of bills into law with others pending, made 20 resolutions and confirmed over 50 different appointments in the last one year.

The Speaker of the House , Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau made this known during the end of the 7th Assembly First Legislative Year recess in Lafia.

Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau appreciated Honourable Members for their support and cooperation given to him to succeed.

” First, I want to thank Almighty God for his protection, guidance and for making us to be alive to see today.

I also want to appreciate Honourable members for your understanding, support and cooperation. What we have achieved will not be possible without your support and cooperation” he said.

The Speaker said that the House has received numbers of bills and many have been attended to while others are in various stages with 20 resolutions reached in the last one year.

” We have also confirmed over 50 different appointments. I want to thank Honourable Members for making my leadership to achieve these,” the speaker said.

The Speaker further commended his colleagues for providing the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of their constituencies.

” I want to appreciate Hon Members for being up and doing in initiating projects and policies that have direct bearing on the lives of your people. I have been seeing what You Honourable Members are doing, please keep it up and do more,” Jatau said

Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his good working relationship and synergy with the House towards the development of the State.

” I want to assure His Excellency of continuous effective synergy and collaboration for the overall development of the State” He said.

Besides, the Speaker called on the people of the State to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
