NACHPN Seeks Support Of Policy Makers, Stakeholders, Others In Nasarawa State
The National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria, NACHPN, has solicited the support of policy makers, stakeholders and all its members in Nasarawa State towards achieving the mandate of the Association.
The Vice President, North Central of NACHPN, Comrade Mohammed Siaka Musa made the request when he visited some Policy Makers and Major Stakeholders in Primary Healthcare System in Nasarawa State as part of his tour of the North Central States under his jurisdiction.
Some of those visited in Nasarawa State included Commissioner for Health, Nasarawa State, Head of Service, Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Board and the State’s Chapter of NACHPN among others.
According to Comrade Musa, the essence of the visit is to brainstorm with the State Executives of the Association towards ensuring productivity and restore the lost glory of NACHPN for the betterment of the members as well as enhance effective primary healthcare delivery.
“One person as the Chairman in the State cannot successfully run the affairs of the Association hence the need for all members of NACHPN in Nasarawa State to come together as a team, work together and finance the Association towards actualizing its aims and objectives” the Vice President stated
He said the visit was also aimed at seeking the collaboration and support of policy makers in the State on ways of repositioning and develop Primary Healthcare System.
“We were able to meet all the policy makers in the State and issues were deliberated and discussed and are currently being acted upon in the interest of primary healthcare delivery in Nasarawa State” He explained.
Comrade Musa therefore appealed to Policy Makers to come to the aid of Community Health Practitioners in the State because community health is the gateway to the nation’s health sector.
In a remark, the Chairman, Nasarawa State Chapter of NACHPN, Abdullahi Ampule commended the Vice President for the visit noting that it would go a long way in boosting the morale of the State Executives and members in the programmes and activities of the Association.
He therefore called for unity of purpose among members of the Association towards ensuring its progress.
The Vice President, North Central of NACHPN, Comrade Mohammed Siaka Musa was accompanied on the visit by the Assistant General Secretary of the Association, Comrade Sarki Zakari.
He is also expected to visit Plateau, Benue, Niger, Kogi States and the FCT as part of his tour of Chapters of NACHPN in North Central.
