In a statement released Thursday, October 17, in Abuja, FORIJA’s Secretary General, Omonu YG Nelson, described the governor’s action as a laudable achievement that demonstrates his commitment to the welfare of workers in the state.

The statement further urged the governor to sustain the current timely payment of salaries.

The new minimum wage, which took effect on October 7, 2024, is a significant boost to the welfare of civil servants in Kogi State.

Governor Ododo’s administration has been working tirelessly to promote economic growth, provide better working conditions, social security, and fair wages for civil servants.
