Member-elect, Jeremiah Umaru , says he will raise issues of insecurity in parts of Nasarawa state in 10th House of Representatives
Member-elect from Nasarawa state, Jeremiah Umaru of the All Progressives Congress
(APC-Nasarawa), says that he has gained knowledge on powers of the legislature and the structure of the National Assembly from the induction programme.
Umaru who is to represent Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency also said that members were adequately tutored on their expectations while carrying out their legislative duties.
The incoming lawmaker who belongs to a group of “Young Legislators of 40 Years Bellow” applauded the zoning arrangement of principal officers of the 10th National Assembly.
“We are group of 42 young legislators.
On the issue of insecurity in Nasarawa State, Umaru said “We are going to come up with motions so that there will be presence of military formations in all the flash points espcially the recent one in Karu.
“I am going to raise bills and motions to check the kidnappings around Nasarawa Eggon and Wamba,” he said.
