Media Urged to Champion Diaspora Investment and Celebrate Nigerians Abroad

The Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has emphasized the significance of promoting diaspora investment and recognizing the achievements and challenges faced by Nigerians living abroad.
Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa conveyed this message through Dr. Sule Yakubu Bassi, the Secretary to the Commission, during a meeting with Mr.
Dr. Bassi reiterated the Commission’s commitment to enhancing the global recognition and development of the Nigerian Diaspora community. He mentioned that a partnership with Acclaim Nigeria would amplify efforts to promote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 4D agenda: Development, Democracy, Demography, and Diaspora within the Diaspora community and beyond.
Bassi also highlighted the potential collaboration between Acclaim Nigeria and NIDCOM in bringing forward the remarkable stories of Nigerians excelling in various fields worldwide, including science, technology, medicine, business, and culture. This strategic alliance aims to bolster Nigeria’s global image and foster a more inclusive and united Nigerian community.
He emphasized that the partnership’s scope extends beyond recognizing the achievements of Nigerians in the Diaspora; it serves as a platform for meaningful dialogue and initiatives to contribute to Nigeria’s development.
Mr. Olumide Ogunlade, a veteran journalist, expressed optimism that collaborative opportunities between Acclaim Nigeria and NIDCOM would reshape narratives and stimulate homeland development.
The Editor-In-Chief conveyed his magazine’s sincere interest in partnering with NIDCOM to spotlight the remarkable contributions of Nigerians living abroad. “Acclaim Nigeria, known for its extensive reach and influential readership, aims to promote the extraordinary stories and achievements of Nigerians in the Diaspora, fostering greater pride and recognition among their fellow compatriots,” he stated.
