The Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has emphasized the significance of promoting diaspora investment and recognizing the achievements and challenges faced by Nigerians living abroad.

These individuals, he stated, play pivotal roles in shaping Nigeria’s global image and are encouraged to invest back in their homeland through positive narratives.

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa conveyed this message through Dr. Sule Yakubu Bassi, the Secretary to the Commission, during a meeting with Mr.

Olumide Ogunlade, the Editor-In-Chief and CEO of Acclaim Nigeria, an international magazine based in Abuja.

Dr. Bassi reiterated the Commission’s commitment to enhancing the global recognition and development of the Nigerian Diaspora community. He mentioned that a partnership with Acclaim Nigeria would amplify efforts to promote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 4D agenda: Development, Democracy, Demography, and Diaspora within the Diaspora community and beyond.

Bassi also highlighted the potential collaboration between Acclaim Nigeria and NIDCOM in bringing forward the remarkable stories of Nigerians excelling in various fields worldwide, including science, technology, medicine, business, and culture. This strategic alliance aims to bolster Nigeria’s global image and foster a more inclusive and united Nigerian community.

He emphasized that the partnership’s scope extends beyond recognizing the achievements of Nigerians in the Diaspora; it serves as a platform for meaningful dialogue and initiatives to contribute to Nigeria’s development.
