Live in peace with one another, unite for accelerated development —-NSHA majority leader urges TIV Nation

The Majority Leader and member representing Awe South constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara Tuesday sued for peace, unity amongst the Tiv nation as well as other.

tribes for accelerated development of the State.

Hon. Azara who gave the admonition when he played host to the new TIDA President, officials and members of the association, advocated for embracement unity, peaceful co-existence which he described as veritable tools for accelerated development.

The lawmaker said that the importance of unity and peace could not be overemphasized, hence the need for all hands to be on deck for the realization of the desired unity which he said is the whole- mark of governor Abdullahi Sule administration

” I am impressed with your visit and want to assure you of my readiness to work with you to promote unity, peace and development in my constituency, the State and the country at large

” I will continue to operate an open door policy in order to carry everybody in my constituency along irrespective of their affiliations” the lawmaker stated.

Hon. Azara urged the New TIDA officials to foster unity among their people and other people of the State.

” I want to urge you to foster unity among your people. Tiv unity should be your watch word and you must promote peace, unity and understanding among your people and other communities” he said.

The Majority Leader and Chairman, House Committee on Works while congratulating the New TIDA officials, assured of his readiness to provide purposeful leadership in the House.

In their remarks, Hon. Peter Ahemba, SSA to Gov. Sule on Public Affairs, Hon. Dr Sebu Emmanuel, Special Assistant to Gov. Sule on Education and Dr. Faga Asom, Senior Lecturer, Dept, of Library and Information Science, Federal University of Lafia all told the Lawmaker that the election of new TIDA officials followed due process and was transparent.

They also assured Hon. Azara of Tiv people support to enable his leadership succeed.

Earlier, the new TIDA President,. Comrade Simeon Apusu, said they were at the Assembly to introduce themselves as New Executives of TIDA to him .

“We are here to familiarize with you and assure you of our support for you to succeed” Apusu stated

The new TIDA President expressed their readiness to work together with Hon. Azara and other Tiv members to promote unity, peace and development in Awe South constituency and the State, pledging his administration commitment to operate an all inclusive leadership.
