LIFE REVOLVES IN CIRCLE

As things change they remain the same. Life isn’t static, it revolves, what was , could still be what is and what is with time could still be in the past, what was.

The funny irony of life.

I saw this throw back picture in the Internet. I Wasn’t attracted by the old school nature of the “kokonsa dress”. Either was I attracted by the “spopido shoe” designer.

I was rather thrilled by the depth of what Life is in this picture. Deep messages, instructive and highly reflective of the futility of life.

Human eyes are so structured to see and appreciate things from the light of what trends .

Once it fades and becomes obsolete, the eyes automatically reset to see it differently. How new was 2023 at its dawn,? And how new it is at the twilight of 2024?

At a time, this konkosa dress in their eyes and in the eyes of others was the best. In their minds what it looked now to us as overly disappropotional to their body structure was the best and perhaps the smartest way of dressing in their days. Surely they would chuckle at the sight of this old school picture. A style or design that probably gave them sleeplessness. Iife and its futility!

Anybody not having this konkosa dress pattern could have been seen and described as “jew man” then. Who still values such style of dressing now. it faded with time, gone as the ancient of days.

As time passed , it faded, and the new dawn of fashion made the Kokonsa which was the dream style look old fashioned. Life and its Ironies.

As I said, my attraction wasn’t on the dress . I have same throw backs. My siblings, cousins etc have them too. There is no one born in that age and time that wouldn’t have such in their pictorial archives.

The strange thing is, we never saw those dress
as konkosa.

Ten years after now , that most gorgeous outfit now would have become out of fashion, a konkosa!

We live in circle. Our fashion recycles too. What were fashionable during our fathers and grand father’s days are gradually finding their way into the fashion sense of this generation, same way this konkosa dress would in due time be recreated into a fashion that would trend in the next generation to come.

Nothing material, however trending and highly patronised should make one go off ones way to have them. The stress and inconvenience do not worth it.

It fades, it comes in season, in few minutes it glitters and glints, only to evaporate too quick into tin air. Nothing lasts forever. Nobody reigns forever. Nothing is too good and sophisticated to be all the time admired, trending and classic. There are seasons and time for everything under the sun.

The classic today may become the obsolete and
the obsolete can be a sought-after tommorow .

This Konkosa faded too. Same way ,whatever is trending today would fade no matter how trending. There is time for everything.

Don’t be pressured to do things, It doesn’t worth it. Live within your means and never over punch yourself to get something that is ephemeral.

The truth is, once anything reigns and trends , it surely would fade. Once anything mounts the stage of life and esthetics, it surely would bow out one day.

Be careful and live within your weight and depth, life revolves in circle. Stop punching beyond your weight to get something that is transient. Only fools do that. The best is yet to come. Life and things around it ,always in continum!!
