Keyamo Visits UAE Envoy, Reveals Emirates Has Given Date To Resume Nigerian Flights

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, has held discussions with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Nigeria, Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi, in Abuja.

Keyamo revealed that during this meeting, the Ambassador conveyed a communication from Emirates Airlines, affirming their commitment to resuming flight services to Nigerian airports.

He shared the development via a social media platform on Wednesday, highlighting the significance of the correspondence received from the UAE-based airline.

According to the Minister, Emirates Airlines has provided a specific date for the resumption of flights to Nigeria, a detail that will soon be formally announced by the airline itself.

This recent communication echoes previous announcements made by Minister Keyamo regarding the anticipated resumption of Emirates Airlines’ operations in Nigeria. As early as November 2023, the Minister had indicated that the airline would soon finalize and publicize the exact date for the recommencement of flight services to Nigeria.
