Just in: Nasarawa Assembly crisis: 13 members jump fence…promises to occupy assembly until inauguration

As crisis continue to rock the Nasarawa state assembly following the postponement of the inauguration of the 7th Assembly by the governor of the state, 13 out of the 24 members elect have jumped fence to occupy the assembly complex.

The member at about 2pm jumped the fence and are now occupying the Assembly waiting for the inauguration day.

It would be recalled that the inauguration of the 7th assembly was earlier fixed for Tuesday this week

The 13 majority members of the house who jumped the fence have promised to remain in the complex hence the proclamation by the governor, Abdullahi Sule.

According to the spokes man of the group, Daniel Ogar Ogazi who is also a contestant for the speakership of the house claimed that the proclamation can only be done once as such the inauguration must take place in fulfilment of the proclamation.

Ogar Ogazi alleged that the acting clerk of the house has been taking to government house.

When contacted to confirm the allegation, acting press secretary to the governor, Ibrahim Adra said he is not aware of the development.
