Join me to develop Nasarawa State—–Gov. Sule

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has called on the media to assist the administration in the state to develop Nasarawa State of his dream through publicizing the activities and policies of the government as well as lifting the status of state especially the potentials of the state to the global world.

Sule who made the appeal when his Senior Special Assistant on public Affairs and publicity, Comrade Peter Ahemba visited the Correspondent Chapel of NUJ in continuation tour of media houses in Nasarawa said the appeal has become neccesary as the state was in dare need of adequate publicity, information destination in view of the potentials of the state begging for attention

Sule who solicited for more cooperation from Members of the Correspondent’s Chapel in the State added that that his administration can not do it alone without the media in it desperate desire to develop the state and make life more meaningful to the people of the state.

While appreciating the correspondent Chapel members for their contributions towards his government, said such collaborations has become more neccesary in order to publicize the polices and programmes of his administration, charging journalists in the state in particular and the nation at large.

“We can not succeed without the involving the media. We are Partners in the governance of the State, therefore there is the need for the sustained collaboration”.

Governor Sule who promised to create a conducive environment for the media to discharge their responsibilities, advised the media to be more professional in the discharge of their Journalistic responsibilities for the Ahmed Bole Tinubu and the various governor’s to improve on the hardship being experienced in the country.

Responding, Chairman of the Correspondent Chapel, Isaac Ukpoju, thanked the governor for recognizing the role of the media in shaping the society

Ukpoju who noted the harsh environment journalists we’re made to function, pledged the Chapel’s readiness at all time to contribute their quarters to the success of the administration in the state,

“Governor Sule’ s administration has enjoyed more Media contributions than any other states in recent time. We need are more friendly a more conducive environment for our members to discharge their statutory function in Nasarawa state”.

“Members of the Correspondent Chapel will continue to abide by their ethical practice we here promised to support the present administration in the area of information dissemination and want the government to also reciprocate the gesture in other to strengthen the relationship between the Chapel and the State government”.
