Insecurity: Gov. Sule calls for synergy among security agencies to tackle crimes

Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule has called for effective and efficient collaboration in other to reduce crimes and criminalities in the country.

The governor gave the admonition when he received the newly deployed commandant of the Nigeria Security and civil Defence Corps, Muhammed Kabiru in government House Lafia on friday

Governor Sule harps on the urgent need for the security agencies to strengthen their ties, consolidate on the existing synergy and improve on intelligent network adding that this is the only way the security situation can be tackled and steamed.

The Governor who welcomed the new Commandant, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the state government and security agencies in maintaining law and order, expressed his administration’s commitment to supporting the NSCDC in its efforts to ensure public safety and security.

Governor Sule assured the NSCDC of his administration’s readiness to provide the necessary support to ensure the success of the NSCDC’s initiatives in Nasarawa State

Earlier, the newly deployed NSCDC Commandant,. Comdt Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa had told the governor that he was in Nasarawa state to add value to the reduction of crimes and criminalities especially kidnapping, banditry.

The Commandant thanked the Governor for the warm reception and assured him of his dedication to serving the people of Nasarawa State.

He outlined his strategy for tackling security challenges, focusing on community engagement, intelligence gathering, and proactive response to threats.

“It is pertinent to focus on strengthening ties between the state government and security agencies to address emerging security concerns, building trust and partnerships with local communities to prevent crime and maintain law and order, implementing effective strategies to respond to security threats and prevent escalation, the NSCDC Boss said.

Similarly, the new Commandant has paid visits to the Commissioner of Police and the State Director of Directorate of State Security Service, DSSS where he solicited for synergy and collaboration of other sister agencies in the fight against insecurity in Nasarawa state.
