Idu, FCT community hails gov’t for performance, appeals for amenities, allocations for projects

Although they thanked government for performance, but Idu, the host community of Idu Industrial Area, Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has appealed to the government to provide them with infrastructural facilities and social amenities to enable them feel the impact of the FCT.
The District Head of Idu, HRH Ishaq Ibrahim, the Viilage Head of Idu, Chief Muhammad Bawa Makama and the District Haead of Idu Sakada, HRH Ishaq Sarki Musa spoke to our correspondent at the Eid – el – Fitir – yearly celebration in the ancient community Friday.
On his own, the Idu District Head, hailed the government for reconstruction of streets in his district, but he was quick to request for reconstruction and construction of more streets and provision of other amenities in line with the size of his district.
Although, the Idu Village Head, Chief Muhammad Bawa Makama also commended the government for among others, the reconstruction of the streets and regular supply of electricity in his commmunity, but he however appealed to the government to be allocating land to them for projects, as they have been doing to others. He said that it would be unfair to them not to see land where to site projects, if an organization offers to do one project or the other in his community for the benefit of the community.
Hailing those in his community for peaceful cohabitation and advising them to learn to be forgiving sins, loving one another and maintaining peace, he said that with total adherance to the will of Allah, they stand the chance of finding favour from Him. He said that loving one another and maintaining peace were among the teachings of Islam.
The District Head of Idu Sakada, Ishiaku Sarki Musa, when spoken to said that they use the feast to among others, promote peace and love, visit friends, worship and praise Allah, even as he enjoined those in his domain to strictly adheree to that.
