Hardship : Nasarawa Speaker empowers 200 constituents, appeals to Sule for more appointments

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau Saturday empowers 200 members of his constituency in Kokona LG Area with the sum of N4000, 000

This is even as he has made a passionate appeal to the state governor, Abdullahi Sule for more appointments for members of his constituent

Speaking at a Stakeholders and expanded APC meeting in Kokona West, the Speaker said the amount was to cushion the effect of the current hardship, help improve the standard of livingof the people

Jatau who represents Kokona West constituency said that he decided to call for the meeting in order to foster unity among members of the party in the area and to appreciate them for their support to him as Speaker of the House and urged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious use of the money for the benefit of their families.

” Today I have called for this stakeholders meeting as leader of the party in Kokona LGA to preach unity, reconciliation and forgiveness among party members ahead of 2027. Secondly, the meeting is to thank and appreciate you all for the wonderful support you gave to me and Gov. Sule to succeed.

“You can see that all who is who in Kokona LG is here and what I need from you is your prayers and support to succeed. You can recall that last time, it was a meeting of APC stakeholders of Nasarawa Western Zone as a party leader in the zone”..

While further preaching for finesse among stakeholders, party faithfuls and others in the interest of peace and development of the area and the state at large for the success of the party beyond 2027, Jatau called on his constituency and the state at large to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.

“I want to appeal to all of us to forgive one another irrespective of party affiliation, religious differences as this is the only way we can move forward.This is time for reconciliation and governance” the Speaker declared.

“His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule is doing his best in improving on the standard of the people of the state. His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule has done a lot for Kokona LGA in the area of roads, schools constructions and renovations as well as other infrastructural development. Let’s all continue to support Gov. Abdullahi A Sule to succeed” the Speaker begged the people.

RT Hon. Speaker who enjoined the people of the State and Nigerians to live in peace, unity and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations however appealed to Gov. Sule for appointment of more sons and daughters of Kokona LGA into his cabinet.

On their parts, the state Commissioner for Education, Dr John Mamman, Hon Daniel Ogah Ogazi (APC- Kokona East) Hon. Awalu Adamu, the Chairman, Kokona LGA appreciated the Speaker for the meeting.

According to them, the meeting would not only unite the people and bring progress and development to the area but also ensure that the party remain a formidable force ahead of the 2027 and beyond. .

While pledging their loyalty, commitment to Gov. Sule for his people oriented programmes in the area, they also appreciated the governor for standing by their Son, RT Hon Jatau for the position of Speaker and assured him of their full support at anytime.

They urged members of the party to avoid rumour mongering and not to create division and factions in the party in the area but work for peace, unity and progress of the party and the area.

Earlier, Mr Jacob Terry Bado, the APC Chairman, Kokona LGA had appreciated God, Gov. Sule and members of the House for making Jatau, the Speaker of the state legislature and assured the Speaker of their loyalty and support to succeed.

Some beneficiaries, Abubakar Osu and Adamu Zakari thanked Jatau for the gesture, commended him for his transparency and all inclusive leadership in the State and prayed God to bless him abundantly.

The meeting had in attendance both serving and former lawmakers, serving and former political office holders from the area among others.
