Hardship: CICMED, Angbazo legacy foundation to empower widows, vulnerable Nigerians economically.

The Community Initiative for Character Moulding and Entrepreneurship Development (CICMED), a Non-Governmental Organisation and Angbazo Legacy Foundation has promised to empower Youths, Widows and other vulnerable Nigerians through Skills aqcuisition and entrepreneurship.

The Organizations Which made their intension known at a training workshop jointly organized by the community Initiative for Character moulding and entrepreneurship Development, and Angbazo Legacy Foundation, said their decision to engage in the training and empowerment Skills is to reduce the hardship Nigerian were going through.

The training which had over 100 participants drawn from Nasarawa, Kogi Plateau States as well as the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, was supported by the Bala and Ladi Angbazo Legacy Foundation (BLALF).

The three-day training workshop held in Akwanga titled the Future Planters Entrepreneurship Boot Camp 2024 dwell on several topical topics.

Speaking at the event, Hon Kefas Tigga, Executive Director of CICMED explained that the aimed of the training was to equip the participants with the requisite knowledge to tackle the challenges of unemployment, hardship restrictiveness and other voices confronting Nigerians especially the youth, women and other vulnerable Nigerians in the country.

According to Hon. Kefas, CICMED had been running various entrepreneurship programmes since 2019 when the organization was established to facilitate and support community participation and engagement of the youth and women.

He added that the group was also seeking social justice to ensure the inclusion of youths and women in the decision-making process based on their knowledge to contribute to the system.

“We have designed several enriching programmes, clusters events, and services by community interest and needs as well as advocacy methodology to achieve effective results.

“All these are geared towards stimulating greater investments and promote entrepreneurship as an option for the participants to make themselves -reliant,” Kefas declared

The.CICMED Executive Director further disclosedv that the organisation would facilitate soft loans to the entrepreneurs and build a strong network where experts would assist them to succeed.

On his part, Director, Bala and Ladi Angbazo Legacy Foundation, Major General Nuhu Angbazo rtd, said while speaking on a topic ‘leadership Challenges, the role of the youth’ in entrepreneurial development, maintained that the most important resources needed to succeed are knowledge and the right mindset.

According to general Angbazo, an entrepreneur would only succeed through dedicated and hard work coupled with adequate knowledge and mindset.

He urged the youth to develop themselves economically by taking up the leadership role with a clear vision, motivation and adding that the only way they can be useful to the society and themselves is to stand up against the present economic and social challenges bin the country.

General Angbazo who is the lead partners in the CICMED project called for dedication, hard work and resilient and to adopt a never-give-up spirit as a principle in life if they must to go far.

He announced the readiness of the Angbazo Foundation to partner with CICMED, to support widows and other vulnerable groups in society to alleviate their suffering.

Governor Abdullahi Sule, represented by the desk officer vin the ministry of Trade, industry and investment, Offing Esien Offing said Nasarawa State government having been conscious of the prevailing economic crunch in the country is putting in place several skills aqcuisition programmes for the youth and other vulnerable people in the state
Governor Sule who challenged the youths in the state to key into the state government programmes , challenge the youths to take advantage of the abundant opportunities in the state to develop themselves even as the government was doing everything to equip the youths with neccesary skills in the state

While commending the Organizers for keying into the state government policies and programmes,other governor challenge the youths and other participants to avail themselves of the training to make themselves-reliant and useful to the society and their communities.

The training featured presentation of papers from experts on different areas including leadership skills among others.
