Gunmen kills a 32 year old man, cut off vital parts in Nasarawa

A 32 years man, Hassan Yahaya Egwa, a senior official of NG-CARES programme in Nasarawa State, was yesterday reportedly murdered by yet to be identified gunmen.
late Hassan, according to an eyewitness was murdered by two gun men who are said to have dragged him out of his car around his environment, whisked him few meters away from his house, killed him and went away with some of organs.
Egwa, who hailed from Obi town in Obi local government of the state, died leaving behind one wife and two children. He has since been buried according to Islamic rites
Meanwhile, the Commissioner
of Police, Nasarawa state Command, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has ordered for a full scale investigation into the gruesome murder of late Hassan Yahaya Egwa, and officer with NG Cares in the state.
CP Nadada, gave the order after he visited the scene of the incident as well as paid condolence visit to the residence of the deceased around the project quarters housing some government official off Shendam road, Lafia.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Nasarawa State Command, DSP Nansel Ramhan,, “the CP condoled the family, ordered full scale investigation to unravel the cause of the dastardly act and those behind the crime for possible arrest”.
It would be recalled that members of the state House of Assembly last Tuesday directed local government Chairmen in the state to urgently organize a security meeting to address the increasing spate of killings in the state.
The Lawmakers also appealed to the security agencies especially the police to step up it’s surveillance in order the stem the rate of killings, kidnapping and other criminal activities in Nasarawa especially the state Capital, Lafia.
In the wake of protest and increased insecurity, Lafia Local government area had since placed a restriction of movement between the hours of 6pm to 6am
