Gov Sule Urges adequate transformation at LGs

Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule Thursday urged government at all levels to recognize and contribute meaningfully to the third tier of administration as a critical partner in the quest for the development of the country.

Governor Sule stated this in a congratulatory letter to the newly elected President of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria, (ALGON), Hon.

Aminu Muazu Maifata over his emergence of the National president of the association.

According to Abdullahi Sule, government at the federal and state must recognize the strategic partnership of the third tier of government and contribute positively to the system if the country must make appreciable impact in its quest for development.

The governor expressed profound joy at the election of Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata, who doubles as the Chairman Lafia Local Government Council and Chairman of Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON Nasarawa state.

A letter written to Hon. Maifata reads in part “your elevation to the position of National President of ALGON is well deserved and a classic case of “whom the cap fits . Your humility, calm disposition, hard work and unwavering loyalty have remained constant”, Sule stated..

Governor Sule whose statement was signed by the Chief Press secretary, Ibahim Adra quoted the governor as saying that “he has no doubt that the new National President will bring his wealth of experience to bear in steering the all important Association in the right direction”.

“As an ambassador of the state in whom we are pleased I wish you a successful tenure and an assurance of my support and that of the Government of Nasarawa State”..

Governor Sule prayed God to grant Aminu Muazu Maifata more wisdom and good health in his national assignment.
