GOV Sule to spend N2bn to establish additional schools

Barely two weeks to February 25th general elections, governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has earmarked over 2bn for the establishment of additional Schools in the state.

Governor Sule who made this known at a town hall meeting as part of his campaign rally in Mada Station of Agidi Development Area of Nasarawa Eggon local government area of the state, the additional school will cope with the increasing number of pupils and students in the state primary and junior secondary schools.

According to Governor Sule, government of Nasarawa State would spend over 2bn to establish more primary and junior secondary schools across different communities of the state hence the information he got about the school destroyed by the rainfall in the community.

“On the report I got from the delegation that visited the destroyed school, I’ve a big news for you today we’re in discussion with Universal Basic Education where we are looking forward for the establishment of new schools and additional classrooms in the two school in Mada station and other parts of the state”

Governor Sule who also that said his administration has rehabilitated the primary healthcare in Mada Station promised to establish general hospital to meet up with the population of the area if reelected

“We’re talking about hospital and I’ve repaired your primary healthcare centre, we’re looking forward to upgrading the centre to a general hospital because Mada Station is big enough to have a general hospital ”

Governor Sule said his administration do not embark on projects until there were resources and capacity which informed the delay in the project execution adding that already government has sourced funds for the proposed projects in the area and other communities across the state.

He said he was in the area to seek for their support in his bid to be reelected in 2023.

Earlier, APC State Chairman, John Mamman had said APC administration under the stewardship of Governor Abdullahi Sule has carried out some projects in the area including the Arikpa Bridge which help in improving the economic fortune of the area.

Other speakers at the town hall meeting appreciated and commended Governor Sule administration for impacting on their lives through his projects and asked for more.
