Gov. Sule raises the alarm over Rice theft in government owned Farm.

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has decried the activities of people he described as unscrupulous persons stealing harvested rice from the government owned farm in Jangwa, in Obi LGA.

Governor Sule in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra inspite of all the governor was doing for the betterment of people, those against the government were still investing their time in areas inimical to the progress of the state.

“Whereas the state government is pleased with the yield recorded it is however saddened by the level of theft recorded during the harvest”.

Governor Sule expressed his displeasure when he received a delegation of sons and daughters of Azara community led by His Royal Highness Sarkin Azara Dr.

Kabiru Musa Ibrahim who were on a thank you visit.

Governor Sule described the situation as very unfortunate at a time the state is doing everything possible to bring relief to the people and boost food security in the state and beyond

“We will not be deterred. We are determined that Nasarawa State being an agricultural state; that government must be at the forefront in agricultural activities ”

He warned those engaged in the unwholesome practice to desist henceforth as government will not hesitate to deal decisively with any one caught.

He thanked the traditional rulers and people of the area for their level of cooperation towards the successes recorded on the farm.
