Gas operating vehicles soon in Niger state,Bago.

As fuel subsidy removal continue to bite harder Plans are underway by the Niger state government to come up with gas operating vehicles for inter and intra city services across the state.

This is to reduce the high cost of petrol operating vehicles and ammeliorate the sufferings of people of the state due to the removal of fuel subsidy by Federal Government.

Governor Mohammed Umar Bago stated this at the official swearing in of 30 new Commissioners and 30 Special Advisers at a colourful ceremony held at the Justice Legbo Kutigi international conference center in Minna said the transport fares would be at a reduced cost.

Bago however appealed to Nigerlites to be patient with the state government over the hardship faced stressing that efforts were on by his administration to provide palliative to mitigate their sufferings.

According to him the welfare of the people of the state will continue to be accorded prominence by his government as a deliberate step to improve the living standard for maximum benefits.

Umar Bago also charged the newly sworn in members of the state executive council and the Special Advisers to always visit their locality and touch the lives of their people in a more positive way.

While responding on behalf of Commissioners and Special Advisers the Commissioner of Lands and Survey Barrister Morice Bello Magaji said they will serve with dignity respect and humility while insisting that they will not disappoint the Governor.

Barrister Morice gave an assurance that they remain loyal to the policies and programme of Governor Umar Bago to ensure that he succeed.

They were sworn by the representative of the Chief Judge Justice Halima Ibrahim.
