FRCN Bags Outstanding Radio Station Award

The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, has received an outstanding Radio Station award on effective dissemination of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC activities.

Receiving the award, the Director General of FRCN, Dr Mohammed Bulama represented by the Director of Programmes, Mrs Msurshima Kighir at the FRSC end of the year award ceremony in Abuja said Radio Nigeria would continue to sensitize the public on proper use of the road.

Dr Bulama expressed delight for recognising the contributions of FRCN in educating the motoring public, pledging that the corporation would continue to use its wider coverage to bring about effective traffic management in the country.

Presenting the award to FRCN and other awardees, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume represented by the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Mr Maurice Mberi applauded the contributions of FRCN and stakeholders for supporting FRSC in reducing road accidents in the country.

Akume charged FRSC not to relent in ensuring free flow of traffic during the yuletide.

The FRSC Corps Marshal, Mallam Shehu Mohammed said the end of the year award was initiated to motivate officers and men as well as major stakeholders in the transport sector for their support that brought about efficient service delivery in the year 2024.

The FRSC Boss called on-road users to always obey traffic rules and give maximum cooperation towards reducing carnage on the highways.

He assured that the management would continue to give special priority to the welfare of officers and men to achieve its mandate.
