Fire disaster: Nasarawa Speaker sympathizes with traders at Lafia market, assures victims of State Govt. support

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.Danladi Jatau has sympathized with traders at the Lafia Modern Market over recent fire inferno that engulfed the market.

Recalled that the Lafia Modern Market which was recently engulfed by fire has destroyed many shops and goods worth millions of Naira.

The Speaker alongside Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central Constituency visited the scene of the incident today in Lafia.

The Speaker said that the visit to the market was to see the level of damage caused by the fire outbreak.

He urged the affected traders to see the fire inferno as an act of God.

” I am here to sympathize and share in your pains over the fire inferno that engulfed your shops which has destroyed shops and properties worth millions of Naira” he said.

The Speaker said that assembly would meet with the Governor and discuss on the kind of support the government would give to the victims of the fire outbreak to reduce their pains.

It would be reported that the Speaker went round to inspect the scene of the incident to see the level of damage done by the fire.
